The ring knife method is used to obtain soil, and the drying method is used to measure soil moisture. The soil profile is divided into moss layer, 0-10cm, 10-20cm, 20-40cm, 40-60cm and 60-80cm, and the soil thickness of some profiles is not enough. The measured surface types include 2600m spruce forest, 2700m spruce forest, 2900m spruce, 3100m spruce, 3300m spruce forest, 3300m shrub, 3400m shrub, 3500m shrub, 2600m sunny slope grassland, 2700m sunny slope grassland, 2800m sunny slope grassland and 2900m sunny slope grassland. The measurement time is from May to September in 2007 and 2008, and the measurement is conducted once on the 10th. The specific date is selected according to the weather conditions. This data is the key soil observation data for hydrological simulation in Pailugou basin
