AB  - Established in June 1958, Daxigou Meteorological Station is 3543.8 meters away from the mountainside of Tianger Peak in Daxigou, Ürümqi County (near the No.1 glacier at the source of Urumqi River in Tianshan Mountains). It is a national first-class hardship station, mainly engaged in cloud and fog physics experiments and climate monitoring. In 1975, it was handed over to Ürümqi Meteorological Bureau for management. In 2007, it was renamed as Daxigou National Meteorological Observation Secondary Station according to the requirements of the China Meteorological Administration's business and technical system reform. This dataset mainly includes wind speed and direction data from the Daxigou Meteorological Station in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005
