This data set is oriented to the problem of thermo hydro mechanical coupling of bentonite based buffer materials in high-level radioactive waste disposal. The gas permeability of compacted bentonite samples with different initial specifications under hydrostatic pressure loading and unloading is measured, and the gas permeability mechanism of unsaturated bentonite under loading and unloading paths is analyzed.
