The main purpose is to provide the verification data set of MODIS data snow cover area mapping and snow surface temperature inversion. Observation contents include: 1) Snow parameter observation. The observed variables include synchronous temperature of snow surface and snow soil interface, surface temperature (handheld infrared thermometer), snow stratification temperature (needle thermometer), snow depth, snow density (ruler and snow shovel) and snow particle size (handheld microscope) and satellite synchronous snow surface temperature. 2) Snow albedo observation (total radiometer) was conducted at bg-a sample plot from 11:10 to 13:24 Beijing time (BJT) on March 14, 2008. 3) Snow spectrum observation (measured by ASD field spectrometer of Xinjiang Meteorological Bureau), MODIS transit time is carried out in bg-a and bg-i sample plots respectively. The dataset includes two folders: original data and preprocessed data.
